Practicing the Law of Three

Join Core Faculty Renée Rosasio to discover how the three essential energies—Initiating, Resisting, and Reconciling—interact in every process of transformation. These forces are always present, shaping our inner and outer experience.

Initiating energy moves us toward change and new possibilities. Resisting energy arises from our type structure by seeking to maintain the familiar and protect us from perceived threats. Reconciling energy emerges when we bring conscious awareness to both of these forces without judgment. From this space, something new beyond either polarity can arise. 

In this 90-minute experiential gathering, you will:

• Learn how the Law of Three functions as a dynamic aspect of the Enneagram symbol
• Explore the role of the Inner Observer in holding paradox and tension
• Discover how resistance can be a doorway rather than a roadblock
• Engage in guided practices to apply the Law of Three to real-life challenges
• Develop greater compassion for the parts of you that seek both change and safety

When we try to change a pattern or pursue a goal, we often experience inner resistance. Rather than seeing this as a problem, the Law of Three invites us to see resistance as a vital and necessary part of growth. It signals that something important is at stake—and that transformation is possible when we stay present to the tension without forcing resolution.

Working with the Law of Three supports us in moving beyond habitual reactions and into a deeper, more integrated experience of presence, where new insight and action can naturally unfold.
