Community Gathering: Self-Preservation Subtypes in Relationships

Overview
Join us for our Third Thursday Gathering when guest panelists share how their Self-Preservation instinct – which governs our needs for material resources and security, including food, shelter, warmth, and family relations – shows up in relationships.
- While all three basic instincts – self-preservation, one-to-one, and social – are present in everyone, one tends to be more central in our daily lives and relationships. This dominant instinct can explain much of the variation among people of the same type.
- All of the nine Enneagram types have three instinctual variations, totaling 27 subtypes – each with a distinct flavor. Our instinctual subtype can influence our daily experience and relationships even more than our Enneagram type.
- This Community Gathering is free for anyone to attend. Join live or register to receive the recording.
- • During the 90-minute gathering on Zoom, representatives with a predominant self-preservation subtype will share:
- • The gifts and challenges of their instinctive subtype in relationships
- • How an understanding of their Enneagram subtype helps them navigate and strengthen relationships with their loved ones and co-workers
- • What kinds of misunderstandings or conflicts show up when engaging with others with different predominant instincts
- Our monthly community gatherings offer a meaningful experience of learning and practice, breakout sessions, and engaging conversations. They're always free for members, and this one is free for everyone. Or become a member for $75 to attend all year and enjoy other member benefits like program discounts, Enneagram resources, and our online community to connect with other Enneagram enthusiasts.
- Please note that our March gathering will begin at 4 pm PT instead of the usual 10 am PT start time, and will run 90 minutes instead of the typical hour.
