Board President Tod Tappert

After three years of outstanding service in the role of Executive Director, Allison DeHart has decided to step down from this position and return to her previous role as Finance Director. When she shared this news in the fall, the board engaged in a targeted and comprehensive recruitment process resulting in the enthusiastic hire of Adam Bailon as our next executive director effective January 1, 2026.

Adam is a Certified Narrative Enneagram Teacher and Practitioner and has been a member of our Affiliated Faculty since 2023. He has also served on The Narrative Enneagram’s Board of Directors since 2024 and chaired our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee for the past year.

Adam brings a deep knowledge of the Enneagram and contagious enthusiasm for our work. We are grateful for the many ways that Allison’s leadership in recent years has helped The Narrative Enneagram move forward, and we look forward to the unfolding of the next chapter with Adam at the helm.

Our Third Thursday Community Gathering in February will offer an opportunity to meet and hear Adam share his thoughts about what lies ahead. We hope you will join us on February 19 at 10am Pacific to meet Adam as he reflects on transitions, transformation, and the Law of Three.

New Executive Director Adam Bailon

I’m thrilled to step into the Executive Director role and to work with our wonderful staff, faculty, and board to carry The Narrative Enneagram forward. Throughout my years as a pastor, guide, and coach, I have learned how to steward communities through transition and create spaces where people can encounter themselves with honesty and hope. I am excited and humbled to offer my experience in support of The Narrative Enneagram as we step into a new season.

The Enneagram has been a longtime companion to me on the path of freedom. It is a mirror that has invited me into deeper presence, and a guide that has taught me how personal healing and collective liberation are bound together.

To serve The Narrative Enneagram as Executive Director will be a profound extension of this journey, bringing my leadership, my commitments to justice, and my lived experience as a teacher and practitioner to an organization that has shaped me and so many others in important and lasting ways.

What most compels me about The Narrative Enneagram is its vision of transformation and the commitment to live out the values that make it possible. To embody Compassionate Curiosity, Grounded Presence, Worth and Belonging, Collaborative Creativity, and Structural Transformation is to join in the healing of our world.

Our work and this community are essential right now, and I’m eager to support our shared effort to build a more compassionate world. I will look forward to connecting with many of you at the February Community Gathering and throughout the year!

Outgoing Executive Director Allison DeHart

It has been a great honor to serve in the role of Executive Director for the past three years, two in partnership with Erlina Edwards. I’m so proud of the work we’ve accomplished as a team. We updated our Foundational Course curriculum and implemented a cohort model into our Professional Certification Program to provide a more supportive experience. We also expanded our Membership benefits and added new budget-friendly programming all with a focus on creating welcoming spaces for a diverse and dedicated community of students.

With the incredible dedication of our community and generosity of our donors, we’ve continued an almost forty year commitment to bring the wisdom of the Enneagram to the world – transforming lives and creating a more compassionate world. This work is more important than ever.

I look forward to continuing as an active member of The Narrative Enneagram community, with a little more time to focus on other projects and passions. I’ll return to my prior staff role tending to the financial dimensions of the organization and continue as a member of our Affiliated Faculty.

It brings me great joy to welcome Adam Bailon into the role of Executive Director. I’m excited for the heart and vision he brings to The Narrative Enneagram, as well as the desire and capacity to lead us into our next chapter. His passion for accompanying individuals on their Enneagram journeys and supporting organizations towards greater inclusivity and belonging will be a great asset to our community. Please join me in supporting Adam as he steps into his new role by joining us at our Community Gathering on February 19.
