The Art of Interrupting
The Art of Interrupting
Aug 7, 2026
Overview
Learn how to support growth through the use of the Pause and practice the art of interrupting when offering a typing interview, leading panels, and working with clients to support growth and transformation.
This event has prerequisites.
- Enneagram professionals can struggle with interrupting students and clients when conducting typing interviews, leading panels, or working one-to-one. This challenge is in part based on type bias – some Enneagram types tend to hesitate to interrupt while other types may interject too much.
- Join Dean of Faculty and Certification Director Christopher T. Copeland to hone your interrupting skills and use the abbreviated somatic practice – Notice, Pause, Allow.
- In this 90-minute experiential gathering, you will:
- • Explore your own particular challenges around interrupting
- • Learn why interrupting is such an important tool for growth of students and clients
- • Engage specific techniques to cultivate greater skills in the art of interrupting
- After this session, you will be able to more effectively use the gift of the "Pause" to conduct an effective typing interview, to lead a transformative panel, and to help clients grow by encouraging them to be with their present moment experience.
- This gathering is a free benefit for Narrative Enneagram Professional Members or $35.
