Overview
Join us for our Third Thursday Community Gathering to explore an embodied practice of presence that helps us soften old patterns and meet life’s challenges with open awareness, compassion, and consent.
- During the one-hour gathering on Zoom with Logan Jones and Evangeline Welch, we will be guided into what Logan calls “Welcoming What Is,” a contemplative somatic practice rooted in the lineage of Mary Mrozowski and Thomas Keating, founding members of Contemplative Outreach.
- Together, we will explore how to soften old emotional patterns and the unconscious strategies we developed for control, affection, and security. This gentle meditation process invites us to feel, welcome what’s arising, and let go and embrace the moment as it is. It’s simple to learn and can be practiced and infused into the everyday realities of our lives, especially in moments of reactivity, resistance, and stress.
- Through teaching, guided practice, and small group reflection, you’ll discover how “Welcoming What Is” can help transform your inner experience and lead to more spaciousness and receptivity.
