• In South Africa, Ubuntu holds more than an idea – or ideal – of connection or belonging. It has lived alongside profound difference, rupture, and the difficult question of how we remain human to one another when living together is not easy.

• Ubuntu does not ask us to erase differences or pretend that relationships are always harmonious. Instead it asks us to explore:

• •Encountering difference: What happens when our worldview meets another
• •Human connection: How greater self-awareness can help us stay present and curious across divides.
