The Narrative Enneagram: A new organization built on 30 years of history

February 2, 2018 | By TNE Board of Directors

The timing is auspicious as 2018 is the 30th anniversary of the Enneagram Professional Training Program (EPTP), founded in 1988 by Helen Palmer and David Daniels, MD. During the past 30 years, more than 3,000 participants have attended the EPTP in 17 countries worldwide, and more than 1,000 have become Certified Enneagram Teachers or Professionals in the Narrative Tradition.

EANT began as a grassroots membership association in 1993 to support graduates of the EPTP, and evolved into an international community of teachers, students and practitioners. In recent years, ESNT was founded as an educational nonprofit to sustain and promote the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition worldwide through a comprehensive curriculum integrating psychology, spirituality and somatics.

TNE combines the best of its two mother organizations. Like ESNT, it is the container for core teachings such as the Enneagram Intensive, and offers two different professional tracks that lead to certification as Enneagram teachers or professionals. Like EANT, it also offers memberships with privileges and benefits that we hope to expand over the next several years. Watch for new branding, website updates and further announcements in coming months.

We will continue to present our core curriculum, the EPTP, Learning Communities and other programs for ongoing personal development, and workshops by core faculty. We will continue to offer retreats, online courses and other learning opportunities to broaden and deepen your knowledge. We also will provide numerous opportunities to convene with like-minded learners to enrich your own personal and professional work in the world.

We look ahead with renewed excitement and vitality to the possibilities of fresh offerings while maintaining the steadfastness of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition. If you have an interest to serve TNE or participate in any way, we would be delighted to receive your comments and suggestions.

With gratitude,

My body is alight with gratitude and love for 30 years of dedication from all those that have stewarded The Narrative Enneagram. What an auspicious time that these two organizations have come together! I am grateful everyday for the Enneagram, the teachers, teachings and community, and the impact on my life personally and professionally. Thank you all for the hard work in this merger. I look forward to our continued unfolding and spreading of our mission of creating a more awake and compassionate world.
