Expanding Access Through A New Fellowship Program

As an educational nonprofit, our Scholarship Program is an important part of The Narrative Enneagram’s work to transform lives and create a more compassionate world.

Supported by our generous donors, scholarships provide opportunities for students from around the world to participate in our life-changing programs. We all benefit from including a range of diverse perspectives in our community because we can all gain a more robust understanding of each Enneagram type and humanity as a whole. Here’s what one donor shared about why they support scholarships:

“The unique storytelling teaching methods of The Narrative Enneagram make the types come alive and illuminate the similarities and differences among individuals’ lived experience. We are honored to support The Narrative Enneagram and their scholarship fund to help make this powerful resource available to everyone who is interested in a transformational learning experience.”

Last year, The Narrative Enneagram made the decision to shift most of our scholarships to a new fellowship model where students apply one time to receive support for all four Foundational Courses and the full Professional Certification Program. Previously, we awarded scholarships for one or two courses at a time, so students would re-apply several times if they wanted to complete their certification.

Narrative Enneagram Program Director Satoya Foster explains, “By adjusting to a single application process, we can provide greater impact and build deeper connections with students. A Scholarship Committee member welcomes each fellow individually in a personal meeting. We’ve also added spaces for fellows to connect with each other through group meetings guided by members of the Scholarship Committee that offer inner practices, reflections on what they’ve learned, and ways to integrate as they move through the program.”

We launched the fellowship program this year and currently have 17 fellows representing ten countries around the world, and we are also supporting many students from our previous scholarship system to complete their certification.

Our scholarship recipients also plan to bring the Enneagram to many communities where the Enneagram is not yet widely accessible. Some of these include Black physicians, university students, recovery communities, people with disabilities, burned out creatives, small business owners, refugees, and many others.

Here’s a glimpse into the experience of one of our current fellows:

“Your support opened the door for me to participate, learn, and grow in entirely new ways. I am deeply grateful for your generosity and the meaningful impact it has had on my journey.

“I value this training not only as an opportunity for personal and human growth, but also for my professional development. What I have received here is so precious that I want to pass this generosity forward into the world and share it with people, with my community, and with the world.

“Through this program, I gained the experience of participating in a group that profoundly transforms me, and it’s not just a personal transformation. It’s a collective, social experience that I want to bring into my country, my community, my relationships, and the culture I am part of.”

“In Ukraine, very little is known about the Enneagram, and I am deeply grateful to have encountered it through the narrative tradition — the language, the lenses, and the framework through which I could engage with this coherent system of human development. The lived experience of participation, the incredible community, and the dynamic, embodied learning — all of this is immensely valuable, and none of it would have been possible without being part of the program.

“I would like to sincerely thank you for making this experience possible. These are gifts I hope to carry forward and share with others.”

Each scholarship recipient has a story that’s just as meaningful. They are therapists, spiritual directors, artists, psychologists, social workers, and educators working with communities in Malaysia, Egypt, the Philippines, the United States, and beyond.

This work wouldn’t be possible without our scholarship recipients or our donors! If you’re a part of our community, you’ve experienced the unique combination of individual transformation and the magic that comes from the group working together in a generous, compassionate field. Here’s how another donor describes their motivation for giving:

“The Enneagram has changed our lives for the better in more ways than we can name. An important priority for us is spreading knowledge of the Enneagram so others, especially underrepresented or marginalized groups, can experience the power of this system. Supporting the scholarship program is the best way we know to achieve this goal.”

If you want to be a part of this powerful work, we invite you to make a gift today if you’re able to contribute financially. We’re also accepting fellowship applications for our May 2026 and May 2027 Professional Certification Program cohorts.
