They/She
Dash Donato is an award-winning filmmaker, Certified Narrative Enneagram Teacher, and writing coach based in Austin, Texas. Her films (which have screened at Cannes, SXSW, Tribeca, Outfest, and beyond) center LGBTQ+ lives and other marginalized communities, exploring how people make meaning, recover agency, and transform through the stories they carry.
Dash brings that same narrative sensitivity to her Enneagram teaching. Trained in The Narrative Tradition, she teaches through a blend of curiosity, somatic awareness, and grounded psychological insight. Her work focuses on helping people recognize unconscious patterns, cultivate self-compassion, and rewrite limiting narratives in ways that support both personal and communal healing. She also teaches fiction writers how to craft compelling, authentic characters through the lens of the Enneagram, bridging the gap between inner work and creative expression.
Dash’s workshops (including Storytelling the Self & Your Life as a Movie) create accessible, community-centered spaces where emotional education feels alive, creative, and deeply human. When she’s not trying to solve the mystery of why we do what we do, you can find her on a hiking trail, at a live show, or hovering nervously over her two Siamese cats: Ted & Cat Blanchett.
