Upon completion of my Narrative Enneagram Teacher Certification, I will use the Enneagram as a tool to help communities and individuals locate themselves from a core motivation standpoint so that they can create pathways to their "intentional becoming". I currently provide this service to individuals using a framework that I created that I call IDEALS, which stands for:

• Integrity – the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles, and adhering to a code of ethics. It involves consistency between one’s words, actions, and values, and maintaining a sense of uprightness and transparency in all aspects of life.
• Dedication – the act of being committed, devoted, and wholeheartedly focused on a particular task, goal, or cause. It involves giving consistent time, effort, and energy to achieve desired outcomes, often demonstrating perseverance and a strong work ethic.
• Equity – refers to fairness and impartiality in the distribution of resources, opportunities, and treatment among individuals or groups. It seeks to ensure that everyone has equal access to the benefits and advantages available, taking into account different needs, backgrounds, and circumstances to promote justice and inclusion.
• Appreciation – the recognition and acknowledgment of the value, significance, or qualities of someone or something. It involves expressing gratitude, admiration, or a positive evaluation for the actions, characteristics, or contributions of others, thereby fostering a sense of respect, encouragement, and positivity.
• Love – involves nurturing and supporting others, showing kindness, empathy, and understanding, and often plays a central role in personal relationships, promoting a sense of unity and well-being.
• Service – the act of providing assistance, support, or aid to others with the intention of fulfilling their needs and improving their circumstances. It involves actively engaging in activities that benefit individuals, organizations, or the community at large.

Before the Enneagram Certification I had clients rate themselves on a 5 point scale on where they landed on these 6 categories. I would then ask them where they want to be and work with them to come up with a pathway to aligning themselves with their ideals. With the Enneagram, my intent is to step back into core motivation as a deeper look into whether their professed IDEALS are an accurate reflection of how they orient themselves internally and communally.
