Kirsty Spence
Board Member
Since 2004, Dr. Kirsty Spence has worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. She received a Doctor of Philosophy from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts in 2005. Previously she taught kindergarten to high school students, spanning a variety of public and private educational contexts in Canada, U.S., Russia and Taiwan.
As an award-winning University educator, she was excited to assume a new position of Associate Dean, Teaching and Undergraduate Studies at Brock University in July 2019. Kirsty’s value of experiential learning pedagogy as a method for students’ development underlies all learning activities in the courses she teaches. In her research work, Kirsty loves to uncover the processes that support leadership development, predominantly using Ken Wilber’s All Quadrant, All Level Theory and the Leadership Development Framework in her published works.
Kirsty is a (PCC) certified Integral Master Coach™ and supports both leaders on a variety of work- and leadership-related topics and students, as an ICC Faculty "Phone Coach." Kirsty is a Certified Narrative Enneagram Teacher. She is an appreciator of all things nature-based, and lives in the Blue Mountains in Clarksburg, Ontario with her husband Bart and their three Golden Retrievers.
